Journey Beyond has appointed former Commonwealth Bank CMO Jo Boundy as managing director, Resorts & Lodges.
Boundy joins Journey Beyond with extensive senior leadership experience spanning travel and tourism, media and financial services, with a focus on customer and commercial strategy, transformation and growth.
She most recently served as CMO at Commonwealth Bank. Before joining CommBank, Boundy was CMO for the Qantas Group and executive general manager, Qantas Group Hotels & Holidays.
In her new role, Boundy will lead Journey Beyond’s newly expanded Resorts & Lodges division, overseeing the group’s growing collection of accommodation and resort assets.
Journey Beyond CEO Chris Tallent said Boundy’s experience across customer strategy and commercial growth would be valuable as the business continues to develop its portfolio.
“Jo will lead our newly expanded Resorts & Lodges division at an exciting time for the business,” Tallent said.
“Her deep commercial and customer experience expertise, combined with her proven track record of driving growth and leading high-performing teams, make her exceptionally well placed to strengthen our portfolio, grow demand across our destinations, elevate our guest and employee experiences, and deliver long-term value across the division.”
The Resorts & Lodges division will include responsibility for Journey Beyond’s resort and accommodation assets, including Ayers Rock Resort, Sal Salis, Monarto Safari Resort, Outback Spirit Lodges and the Kakadu Crocodile Hotel.
The portfolio will also expand to include Kingfisher Bay Resort and K’gari Beach Resort on K’gari.
Boundy said she was excited to join Journey Beyond at a significant point in the company’s growth.

Boundy will be based in Sydney and will commence as Managing Director, Resorts & Lodges on 9 November 2026.
The appointment comes as Journey Beyond continues to build its position across Australia’s experiential tourism and accommodation sectors, with its portfolio spanning resorts, lodges and destination-based tourism experiences.
