Trafalgar River will offer new ships and new itineraries across five European rivers, The Travel Corporation’s Andrew Young, Senior VP Sales Oceania has revealed at Cruise360 Australasia at ICC Sydney.
Trafalgar returned to European river cruising this year after a break of almost two decades and introduced a mid-entry level “affordable” offering to the Rhine and Danube in the northern spring of 2026.
Now, plans for 2028 include new ships and 10 new itineraries across the Rhine, Main, Danube, Moselle and Douro, with journeys ranging from seven to 23 days.
“We’re coming out with new ships in 2028, both on the R&D (Rhine and Danube), but also the Douro, which is new for Trafalgar,” Young revealed during a Talent for Travel game show style panel at Cruise360, hosted by Richard Taylor.
“And our intention is those clients who have experienced our ships this year in 2026 will return with us on new rivers and new itineraries, which of course are open for you to sell,” he told a room full of advisors.
While more details are coming soon, Trafalgar River has revealed to Travel Weekly the first renders of the new offering.
