Allianz Partners has been named as a major sponsor of the Beyond Borders Travel Summit 2026. This follows its acquisition of nib’s travel insurance business.
The insurer will have a major presence at the Melbourne summit on 9 October.
The newly formed Allianz Partners Travel & Tourism team bringing together nib’s existing industry relationships and Australian market experience with Allianz Partners’ global operations.
nib travel insurance products will continue to be sold following the acquisition, with Allianz Partners promising ongoing engagement with travel industry partners.
Dylan Wilkinson, head of Travel & Tourism at Allianz Partners, said the summit would provide an opportunity to explain what the transition means for the trade.
“As we bring together the strengths of Allianz Partners and nib’s travel insurance business, we’re enhancing our capabilities and deepening our commitment to the travel sector,” Wilkinson said.
“Beyond Borders provides a valuable opportunity to connect with the industry, share insights into what this next chapter means for our partners, and discuss how we can continue to support travel businesses and travellers in an evolving market.”
As part of the summit, a representative from the Allianz Partners Travel & Tourism team will join a panel examining industry research alongside current market behaviours across travel networks.
The session will explore growth opportunities, the role of data in travel businesses and how ATIA is responding across its CATO, ITAA and ATMC divisions.
ATIA CEO Dean Long welcomed Allianz Partners to the event.
“Beyond Borders is about bringing the industry together to understand what is changing, what it means for travel businesses and how we prepare for what comes next,” Long said.
“Allianz Partners’ contribution to that conversation makes them a natural partner for the event.”
